Flight Time Wrestling Summer Wrap-Up

Flight Time Wrestling had several individuals finish the summer on a strong note.  Five wrestlers from FTWC placed at the PAWF Freestyle and Greco State Tournament.  Codie Noga (Junior 215) won both styles at the state tournament, while Josh Daniels (Junior 135) and Mitch Spencer (Cadet 135) placed third in both styles.  In addition, Jacob Danley ( Schoolboy 95) and Scott Grandin (Junior 145) placed third in Greco.

Spenser followed the state tournament by traveling to Kansas City, Missouri in late June as part of the PA Cadet Greco and Freestyle National Duals team.  Spenser was only able to wrestle one match, due to suffering an injury in his opening bout of the tournament.  However, Spenser’s team, PA Silver placed fifth overall.

FTWC only sent one wrestler to the Asics Junior Nationals, July 21-26, in Fargo, North Dakota.  Noga, a University of Pittsburgh recruit, had a strong showing at the tournament with a 5th place finish in Junior Greco at 215.

FTWC will take most of the month of August off and will resume workouts again in September.  Keep in eye out for the release of the fall club schedule.
